COSMIC, NASA's COmputer Software Management and Information Center has been located at the University of Georgia since its beginning in 1966. We presently have over 810 computer programs that were originally developed by NASA and its contractors for the U.S. space program. Our role as part of the NASA Technology Transfer Network is to ensure that industry, other government agencies, and academic institutions will have access to the advanced computer software technology which is produced for NASA projects. Software is available for a number of areas of interest including: artificial intelligence, computational fluid dynamics, thermal & fluid flow analysis, finite element structural analysis, scientific visualization, and many more. Programs are priced on a cost-recovery basis and most include source code. U.S. educational institutions are eligible for a substantial discount.
